Echo

Collection

An echo is a sound that exists even after its source has gone silent.
But even if something seems lost, it lives on in a new form.

Imagine a thread running through fabric, like a sound passing through space, leaving behind vibrations of the past. Each ornament is a sound impulse that travels through the centuries, reflecting off time but never disappearing.

It changes, as the timbre of a voice changes in the mountains or caves, but its essence remains unchanged.

The designer’s comment

I had a desire to make more voluminous items in the embroidery technique, using coarse acrylic threads and creating a 3D effect with them.

The book «Borshchiv Folk Shirt» by Liudmyla and Oleksii Pokusinski opened up a world of unique ornaments to us. And later, these ornaments became the basis for the new ones, were reborn in a different form.

All patterns are embroidered in chain stitch using acrylic threads.

We also gained inspiration to try creating items using the darning technique, which we encountered on our expeditions to the ethnographic region of Opillia.

The collection consists of 16 items. They include men’s shirts, women’s dresses, blouses and zapaskas. Zapaskas are offered to go with dresses and blouses to create a more modern stylish look. All items are made from 100% natural linen.

It is not just a collection—it is the clothes that sound. You may not hear it with your ears, but you can feel the rhythm, see the waves and become this sound yourself.

Because an echo is something that never disappears…

It only changes its contours, finding new voices-waves.
And today these waves are changing, passing into your hands, into new times.
